When we are using PC to browse the web, then we have many choices of browsers, let’s say the Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, and many more. But what if we are away from the our PC, and the only thing that can connect us to the internet is only a cheap java enabled mobile phone, like Sony Ericsson K510, or even K310? Some who has enough budget to buy high end mobile phones will get phones that are able to open full web version on their phones. For others who hasn’t got the gadget (like me …) have to use mobile web browser that has ‘almost’ the same as those high end mobile phones.
Since the default mobile phones web browsers are sometimes do not able to do the task appropriately, then we have to choose.
There are some available free mobile browser
1. OperaMini
You can download this phenomenal mobile web browser from http://www.getjar.com/products/3334/OperaMiniWebbrowser. OperaMini offers a good file compression, so it will be more effective in opening any web sites, whether they are in wap or www. I have been using OperaMini for almost 2 years, and I have no complain but that it is almost impossible to re-open the saved paged on my PC. I have tried many ways, but they don’t work for me. Have no luck. Opera has just released the new Opera Mini Next on March 2012, Download Opera Mini Next here
2. UCWEB
This mobile web browser was at first introduced in China, but then very welcomed around the world. Just like the OperaMini, UCWEB is also doing the compression to speed up the connection, and to reduce the cost. Got to http://www.ucweb.com/English/index.shtml to download this pretty amazing mobile web browser.
Right now, there is available the UCWEB version 6.3. Compared to the previous version, the new one has many advantages, like the interesting interface, simple initiating configuration. Moreover, some of my friend say that UCWEB works faster than the OperaMini. The downloading and uploading time are effectively managed to have full speed web browsing experience. But still I prefer using OperaMini.
3. TeaSHARK
Compared to OperaMini and UCWEB, TeaSHARK is much more smaller but powerful enough to browse the web. You can download it from
TeaSHARK is also doing the compression procedure in opening the web. But unfortunately, the compression is not as good as what OperaMini and UCWEB. It can be seen from the size of downloaded web page.
